Tall hardback, approx 13 x 11 inches. Brown cloth covers with decorative blind embossed paneled boards, decorative gilt lettering to front. Red page edging. Black cloth to spine. Dark brown endpapers. In very good condition. Some moderate rubbing to boards, corners bumped and chipped, some bumps and small nicks to cloth on top and bottom edges. Later black cloth binding to spine, with later reinforcement to inner hinges between endpapers. A couple of ‘Domesday Support Project’ sheets loose at rear, with small 4pp advert sheets bound in at rear endpaper. Some minor rubbing/small chips to edge of front endpaper, with small repaired patch to inner corner. Some minor darkening to bottom of title page, neat inscription “J.B. Phear,” to top edge. Some minor handling marks to pages, many neat pencil notes to margins. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 38pp + 4pp Intro. + 4pp adverts. Title page vignette. Red and black facsimile lettering.
