Quarter bound dark green calf leather to spine and corners, marbled paper boards, raised banding and gilt decorations to spines, with maroon leather spine labels lettered and numbered in gilt. Grey endpapers. Marbled page edges. In very good conditions. Some minor wear to covers; spines darkened, fading to boards on edges of spines. Some heavy rubbing to edges and corners, with some surface chips to leather. Partial crack to top front hinge on spine. Some darkening to decorative title pages, some occasional areas of foxing to pages else inside pages and plates all very clean and bright throughout. Else very good clean and tight copies. 8 volumes bound in 4. Illustrated with 108 hand-coloured full-page plates, and 8 B&W decorative engraved title pages.
