Cloth rebacked on spine. Corners bumped and chipped. Some handling marks to boards. Darkening to endpapers with bookplate to front “John Herbert Bowen.” Some minor darkening to frontis plate. A couple of minor handling marks to pages else a very clean and tight copy. 31 plates with 44 photogravure portraits (incl. Rev. W. Barnes), views, etc.; 167 pp. Besides his "Introductory Note", signed in facsimile, Hardy contributed "valued Suggestions" to this volume, and permitted the reprinting of "A Call to National Service".(Purdy)
