Large hardback, approx 12.5 x 10 inches. Purple/maroon cloth binding with decorative embossed boards and gilt lettering to spine. In very good condition. Cloth professionally relaid on spine. Corners bumped and slightly chipped. Some rubbing and minor bumps to board edges. Some overall fading and darkening to cloth. Endpapers darkened, with repaired chips to edges. Some darkening and foxing to title page and frontis plate. Some minor handling marks and minor spots to inside pages, else pages overall very clean and tight. Else a very clean and tight copy. 420pp. Illustrated with a colour frontis plate and 58 B&W woodcut figures within text.
