Large hardback, approx 14 x 10 inches. Dark green morocco leather binding by “Bickers & Son.” Wide decorative gilt paneled boards, “London Dental School” vignette to front. Raised banding, gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Gilt page edges and marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Some wear to cover; some heavy rubbing to extremities and edges, corners bumped with small chips, small chip to top end of spine. Some rubbing and light patches to middle of boards, some scratches to rear board. Prize label to front “Dental Surgery & Pathology Award to W.R. Ackland, 1884.” Gilt binders stamp to bottom edge of front endpaper. Scruffy edges to blank flyleaf and halftitle page, edges creased with some tears. Some small foxing spots to top edge of title page and contents. A couple of minor handling & thumb marks to pages else pages and plates all very clean and tight throughout. Else a very clean and tight copy. 373pp. Illustrated with 60 full-page B&W plates, and profusely illustrated with B&W illustrations in text, chapter vignettes and decorative tailpieces.
