In full red morocco leather bindings with decorative gilt paneled boards with crests to fronts, raised banding, gilt lettering and extensive gilt decoration to spines, marbled endpapers, all page edges gilt. In very good condition. Some minor fading to spines, some minor handling to covers, some rubbing to extremities and ends of spine. Binders stamps “J. Low, Chancery Lane” to endpapers. Presentation label to endpaper vol.1; “Presented by the Law Society, Robert William Jabor who served his clerkship before admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court, Payne and Lattey, London, 1904.” Some minor foxing to endpapers, slightly effects title page in vol.1. Inside pages all clean and tight, no foxing or marks. Else very clean and tight copies. 3 vols: 692, 652 & 670pp. Traces the development of the English constitution from the Teutonic invasions up to 1485.
