In full polished tree calf leather fine binding by “Bickers & Son, Leicester Square.” Decorative gilt paneled boards with gilt crest to front, gilt lettering to leather spine label, raised banding, and extensive gilt floral decoration to spine. Marbled page edges and endpapers. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to corners, minor bump to top rear corner, some minor rubbing to ends of spine and front spine edge. Some light handling marks to boards. Prize bookplate to front endpaper in Latin “Hoc Praemium, Ioanni Francisco Taylor, Scholae Felstediensis Alumno, A.D. MCMIII.” some heavy foxing spots around edges of blank sides of endpapers, milder on halftitle page, a couple of tiny almost negligible spots to edge of frontis and decorative title page. Some minor spots to last index page, Else pages all very clean and tight throughout. 562pp. Illustrated with an engraved frontis portrait and decorative engraved title page vignette.
