Gilt line details to boards, gilt lettering and raised banding to spines, with extensive gilt decorations. All page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. In very good conditions. Some general handling marks to covers; rubbing to edges and corners, corners slightly bumped with some small surface chips to leather. Some handling marks and darkening to cloths, some rubbing to ends and extremities of spines. Bookplates to endpapers “Elijah Impey, Scarborough,” and again neatly inscribed in ink on the following blank endpaper side (all vols.) Inside pages and plates all very clean and tight throughout, plates crisp and bright, some small foxing spots to pages near ends, also to a few plates, all plates guarded.
