Bound in full calf leather binding, decorative gilt and blind panelled boards, gilt lettering to maroon leather spine label, with raised banding and gilt spine decorations. Marbled endpapers and page edges. In very good condition. Some wear to cover; some surface rubbing to bottom front corner, partial split to bottom end of spine. Corners bumped, small chip to top end of spine. Bookplate to front endpaper “John Mirehouse.” Some minor foxing to plates, some minor darkening to edges, some handling and thumb marks to pages, else a very clean and tight copy. 114pp. Illustrated with 32 full page B&W engraved plates, including title page and frontis. 3 Woodcut illustrations in text.
