Tall hardback, 10 x 6 inches. Bound in full red morocco leather, decorative blind panelled boards with gilt decorations to centre’s. Gilt lettering, raised and decorative gilt banding to spine. All page edges gilt. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Cover a little worn; corners bumped and edges rubbed, surface chips to leather around edges. Some darkening to spine and handling marks to boards. Binders label to corner of front endpaper “F. Westley, Friar St.” Neat inscription to blank prelim page “Helen D. Brooks.” Some minor darkening to edges of plates, a couple of very minor foxing spots, else inside pages all very clean and tight. Else a very good copy. 256pp. Illustrated with 21 B&W steel-engraved plates including frontispiece and decorative title page vignette. Complete.
