Large hardback, 14 x 11 inches. Full red morocco leather binding, raised banding, gilt lettering and decoartions to spine, extensive gilt decorative paneled boards. Full gilt page edges, embossed grey endpapers and wide inner gilt dentelles. In very good condition. Corners slightly bumped, edges rubbed. Heavy rubbing to spine with some minor dark patches. Some minor handling and darkening to boards. Frontis plate bound between front endpapers. Authors handwritten, and signed letter, with wax seal pasted to front, with bookplate/card underneath. Title page darkened and slightly rubbed at edges. Some minor handling marks and small foxing spots to pages, else inside pages all very clean and tight. 72pp. Illustrated with a B&W engraved frontis portrait. French Language. Geramb was a fierce objector and campaigner against Napoleon. Also considered to be a spy by the French.
