Else a generally clean and tight copy. 280pp. With colour plates with titled tissue guards. Folding map at rear. Beautifully illustrated book on ‘Wessex’. The term is used to describe the area of the West Country, primarily Dorset, covered by the novels of Thomas Hardy and many of the paintings reflect this. An interesting history of the area.
