Hardback, 9 x 5.5 inches. Quarter bound light brown cloth with marbled paper boards. Maroon leather spine label lettered in gilt, with raised banding and extensive gilt decoration to spine. Marbled edges and endpapers. In very good condition. Corners bumped and rubbed, rubbing to edges and ends of spine, some rubbing to boards. Neat inscription to endpaper with coloured crest pasted above “Chris. Parker, Harrow, 1861.” Some minor ink marks to title page. Neat pencil inscription to title page “C. Parker, Skirwith Abbey, Penrith, Cumberland.” One or two odd foxing spots and a couple of minor handling marks else pages all very clean, bright and tight. Else a very good copy. 418 & 610pp.
