(DW darkened on spine and edges, edges rubbed, small tears to front and rear top edges, chip/small loss to top of spine, some handling marks. Price clipped. In plastic sleeve.) Some light soiling to cloth on boards. Endpapers darkened, neat inscription to front “Kenneth Kearley, Best Wishes from Geo. Macdonald 24,2,29.” Some darkening/foxing/minor staining to rough cut page edges but otherwise pages very clean and tight. MAp clean and bright with no tears. Else a very clean and tight copy. A very readable account of the Arab War, it became a best seller and was translated into many languages. The precursor to Seven Pillars which was not published until 1935. 446pp. 16 full-page b&w illustrations by famous artists, including 6 by E. Kennington. With fold-out sketch map at rear.
