Nicks to ends of spine with small split to top. Bookseller label “H.V. Day, Dorchester,” to front. Some light minor foxing and slight darkening to pages, else a very clean and tight copy. Scarce. x + 220pp. Plates complete with 6 woodcut illustrations by William Barnes. A fascinating history of Dorchester in Dorset, from the early 19th century. Interesting theories on the building of Maiden Castle, Poundbury and Maumbury Rings.
