Held in attractive black wooden frame, with double gilt border. Framed by The Quality Framing Company Sebastian D’Orsai. Painting Size:52cm x 40cm Frame Size 66cm x 53cm In very good condition. Appears to be unsigned. It appears to have undergone professional conservation work completed at some point in the past with a high quality relining, remounting and waxing which has protected the painting very well. A beautiful Example. Oil on canvas It is a wonderful large and excellent example of an Early British School work that captures the beauty influenced by German Romantic Movement of the late 1700's with finely detailed romantic figures in a "plein air" winter landscape.
