In very good conditions. Original binding with some wear, chips to ends of spines, small splits to ends of hinges. Corners bumped. Some chips and marks to leather. Spine labels lacking on vol.2. Partial label missing on vol.1. Some minor handling marks and spots. Neat inscriptions to endpapers “Zach Jefferies 1771, & Mary Goolden, 1832.” A couple of small handling marks to pages, Folding map of Britain torn in middle, tear and small holes to 2 folding plates of “Monument in Westminster Abbey.” Small wormhole to bottom margin pages 802-822 vol.1. Small hole to center of France map at rear of vol.1. Otherwise pages all very clean, bright and tight. 849pp + 806pp. + Index + 12pp ”The Heads...” dated 1736.
