A very clean and tight copy. 304pp. With b/w photographs, maps and illustrations. Facsimile cover and dustwrapper made to look torn. Alexander Scrimgeour was a Midshipman on HMS Invincible and was killed when the ship was sunk at the Battle of Jutland. The book has the diary he was required to keep as part of his training and many of his letters.
