Else a clean and tight copy. 230pp. With wood engraved plates with titled tissue guards. Philibert, Comte de Grammont (1621 – 31 January 1707), was a French nobleman. This biography was written by Antoine Hamilton, his brother-in-law. He spent some time at the Court of King Charles II, where he married his wife and the most interesting part of the book contains an account of that king’s licentious court.
