A clean and tight copy. 56pp. With letters and poem by the author loose in front. The author served as a Captain in the RAMC and survived Dunkirk. He also served in the Middle East. Phoenix was composed during this time and the remaining poems were written subsequent to his discharge. They are the expressions of a mind struggling for truth and peace. He died at the early age of 39 in 1950 and this volume was published posthumously. Includes two letters written to a friend and a poem, Cairo Night, in his own hand. One of a limited edition of 75.
