Cover slightly faded and darkened. Corners bumped and edges rubbed. Some minor darkening to endpapers with neat inscription to verso of front “R. Fasson, with love and best wishes for 1888”. A couple of minor handling marks, Else a clean and tight copy. 384pp + 32pp cat. Says ‘Illustrated’ on front cover but contains none. Revised by G.A. HENTY, after the original author's death, who brought the narrative down to the end of the Egyptian War of 1882. The Present edition adds a brief narrative of the principal events of the Boer Wars of 1881 and 1900-1902.
