Size 7.25 x 11.25 inches. In dark blue cloth covers with black lettering to spine and front. With colour plate pasted to front. In very good condition. Spine slightly faded. Small marks. Corners slightly bumped.Slight browning to endpapers. Occasional old repairs to hinges. One colour plate missing. Slight browning to pages throughout. 153pp. With b/w and colour plates and line drawings in text.. The Army Pageant was held in 1910 to instill a sense of Patriotism in Britain and the Empire. Funds were raised for the Incorporated Soldier’s and Sailors’ Help Society. It consisted of a series of tableaux of famous battles, the scripts of which are reproduced here. The plates are re-imaginings of some of those battles.
