Spine slightly faded and rubbed. Edges slightly rubbed and bumped. Neat inscription to first blank page, dated 1945. Photographs slightly faded. Else a clean and tight copy. 369pp. With 18 b/w illustrations and photographs. Biography of William James Müller 28 June 1812 – 8 September 1845, English landscape and figure painter, the best-known artist of the Bristol School. The author describes his subject’s travels around Northern Europe Switzerland and Italy. Later travels were to Greece, Egypt, including Luxor, then Paris, London, North Wales, Asia Minor, Rhodes, Malta, and finally back to London and Bristol.
