Some minor spots to inside pages else very clean and tight copies. 262 & 246pp. One of the most successful novels of the nineteenth century and the progenitor of the "lost race genre", this was actually the second novel to feature the title character, Quatermain having appeared also in "King Solomon’s Mines", published the year before in 1886. First issue, with "Dongo" for "Donyo"p.17, third line from bottom, additionally "Quartermain" misspelt on caption Ee, p.78.
