Hardback, Tall 8vo. (approx 10 x 7 inches). Attractive blind embossed blue cloth with gold lettering and extensive illustrated decoration in gilt on spine, & gilt vignette on front cover. Yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Corners bumped, ends of spine a little nicked and chipped at top. Some minor darkening to spine and minor handling marks to cloth. Some light foxing spots and handling marks to pages. Some glue repairs to gatherings. Else a very clean and tight copy. 72 coloured and 2 b&w plates.; 159 pp. & "Aphorismata Entomologica" 24 pp. +8pp cat. (dated May 1884.)
