In very good condition, extremities rubbed, corners bumped. crease to centre of spine, nicked at corners and bottom end, two small nicks to front edge and partial split to rear edge. Endpapers bright. Penned inscription to half-title page “G.P. Leschallas, Headington, 1887.” Frontis and title darkened and foxed, mild foxing spots to pages throughout, some glue repairs to gatherings. Lacks one plate (1 of 8). Else inside pages all very clean and tight throughout. 384pp +32pp cat. (dated 9/83.) Illustrated with B&W plates and decorative head and tailpeices.
