The text is in Latin and illustrated with colour pictures of Medieval Academic Life. A beautiful volume.

Tall 8vo; approx 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Nice red pictorial cloth with gilt lettering and black designs. The covers are rubbed and still quite bright in places with minor marks although some damp staining to the rear cover, minor wear with a couple tiny dents to the bevelled edges, the 4 corners are bumped and bent. The spine is rubbed. Both inner hinges are strong. The pages are clean and very firmly bound. The wonderful plates and folding plates are all in very good condition, just a very small area of of what looks like tippex to the margin of the plate on page 350 which also has a small close marginal tear. 9 very nice colour chromo plates. (incl.3 some fold out), one by F.Lydon of poultry. Many b/w ills., incl.a nice full-pg.ill.by LOUIS WAIN. 840pp; Some wonderful plates inside the book which is in very good condition and whoever buys it will be very happy.The book is complete with the plates as called for.
