In green pebbled full calf leather binding with embossed gilt decor and lettering to spine and covers. Raised bands, all edges gilt. 136pp. In very good condition. Spine slightly rubbed at top. Small marks to front. Front hinge slightly cracked. Else a very clean and tight copy. Gilt decor and edges bright. Beautifully bound edition. Of these two Idylls, Gareth follows The Coming of Arthur, and The Last Tournament immediately precedes Guinevere.

In very good condition. Spine slightly faded. Covers slightly marked. Inscription from author to binder on first blank page. Else a clean and tight copy. An extraordinary tale of the Battle of the Atlantic, the true story of an 8000-ton derelict tanker that refused to blow up after being abandoned and which found its crew again, who re-boarded and salvaged her.

Attractive full green morocco binding with elaborate gt.decor. and raised bands on spine, and wide elaborated floral border decor. on both covers., by BICKERS & SON, Leicester. Wide inner gilt dentelles. Marbled endpaers. All edges gilt. Steel-engraved frontis. portrait of Tennyson. pp. 8 / 901 pp. Text is in 2 columns. Colour on spine and on edges of covers faded to light brown (but NOT the gold). Private armorial bookplate on inside front cover. Endpapers and frontis. are foxed, otherwise there is no foxing. There is a tiny ink mark on the top edge of the first 100 pages or so, and one tick in red ink on one text page, otherwise very clean inside.
