The Germans thought that their ‘Enigma’ machine was invulnerable, unsuspecting that it had been captured and the codes broken at Bletchley Park. Ultra was the result of this and the author describes the work done and the sucess of the operation. Highly secret at the time, and for many years after, this is the first book to reveal the signals and the to talk to the people who worked there.
