With illustrated dustwrapper. 119pp. Prof. ills. with b/w photographs and colour plates. In very good condition with very good illustrated dustwrapper (dw; slightly faded). Not price clipped. Owners bookplate on front endpaper. Else a clean and tight copy. Doreen Sieja was an intimate friend and colleague of L.S.Lowry during the 1940s and 50s and continued the association after she emigrated to Canada until the artist’s death in 1976. Although much has been written about Lowry’s work and the environment of Greater Manchester, which inspired many of his now famous paintings. Despite some recent biographies little is really known about the man behind the distinctive paintings. Price:
