Spine slightly bumped at ends, with a couple of small marks. Mild foxing to edges. Occasional foxing spots inside. Plates clean and bright. A play in four acts, set in the early 19th century.

Pictorial endpapers. 198pp. Pictorial title-page. 18 coloured & mounted plates, each with a tissue guard which has a b/w drawing & some text. Many b/w illustrations, some full-page. In near fine condition. Spine slightly darkened. Small marks to covers. Occasional small marks inside. Colour plates clean and bright. Else a clean and tight copy. Barrie’s play set in a country town during the Napoleonic Wars with lots of maiden ladies and their servants - and the recruiting sergeant. Illustrated by Hugh Thomson.
