Bound in original black cloth with gilt to spine and front. 308pp. B/w portrait with tissue guard as frontispiece and letters in facsimile. In good condition. Spine slightly faded, with small chips to top and bottom. Small mark to front, back lightly rubbed. Neat inscription on front endplate. Mild foxing to edges which slightly affects some pages but especiall the first and last few. Else clean and tight. Part biography, part personal reminiscences, part evaluation and crtique.
