Owner’s neat inscription on front endpaper. Else a clean and tight copy. Modern first edition. Most of the story takes place within the office/laboratory of the British Pharmaceutical Products Research Association, a place which the narrator (who works there) vies with contempt and distrust. Both views turn out to be well founded and he is lucky to escape with his life. Others are less successful.
