Tall 8vo. In red cloth covers with gilt to spine and decorated front. All edges gilt. 277pp. Prof. ills. with b/w steel and wood engravings, some in text, some full page. In very good condition. Spine slightly faded and slightly rubbed at top and bottom. Small marks to covers, small chips to fore edge and corners slightly bumped. Period engraving pinned to front endpaper. Occasional small marks inside. Else a clean and tight copy. A collection of essays on many subjects illustrated by George Cruikshank.
