1 (07) RAMSBOTTOM, JOHN: Mushrooms & Toadstools. A Study of the Activities of Fungi. (The New Naturalist 7).
Bloomsbury Books 1989 facsimile reprint 
Hardback, 8vo. (approx 9 x 6 ins.) In cream cloth covers with gilt lettering to spine. With illustrated dustwrapper. In very good condition with good dustwrapper (dw; minor rubbing to ends of spine, Not price clipped). slihgt nick to top corner of front endpaper, else a very clean and tight copy. --- From Puff-balls to the mould in jam-pots, including truffles, dry rot, and the yeasts used in brewing; all are fungis and the author manages to include all of them. Also included is a wealth of historical allusion. Beautifully illustrated with colour photographs by Paul de Laszlo. 306pp. With 84 colour & 58 b/w photo plates. (incl. many by Eric Hosking).
