Hardback, 9.5 x 7 inches. half bound in dark green morocco leather and marbled paper covered boards. Gilt lettering to spine. Plain endpapers. In good condition. Edges rubbed, bumped and faded. Neat inscription to endpaper “James Gorson,” and bookplate opposite “Sir Archibald Grant of Monymoske, Bart.” Printed pages slightly darkened and creased. Tape repair to centre crease with some slight loss to one line of print. 4pp. Bound in with several blank pages. A very interesting discourse discussing the ‘Union of Scotland and England’, the Whigs and Jacobites, “independence against English Gluttony and Riches, and all attempts to make them slaves.” The Lord Mayor of London’s Jamaican Estates, the Cyder Bill, the Tower of London, imprisonment, leprosy, rebellion and traitors.
