2 volumes. Large, 11.5 x 9 inches. Quarter-bound with leather to spines and corners and marbled paper covered boards. Gilt lettering, banding and embossed detailing to spines. In very good conditions. Covers are worn, spines and edges heavily rubbed, corners bumped, darkened around edges and top page edges. Rubbing to boards. Leather to corners on v.2. chipped. Hinges cracked. Bookplate to front endpaper “William Baker”, Some light foxing to title page of vol.1, heavier on title in vol.2 and up to first plate in vol.2. Else inside pages very clean and tight throughout. 507 & 502pp. 61 full-page engraved plates.
