Hardback. Large Folio size, approx 12.5 x 10 inches. Contemporary full morocco leather binding and slipcase. Red leather label to spine and slipcase with gilt lettering. Marbled endpapers. Cloth covered Slipcase. In very good condition with very good slipcase. (Slipcase some minor rubbing marks and fading to edges.) Spine faded and slightly rubbed. Top corner of title page clipped. Title and dedication pages seem to be coated in a thin protective parchment. Some minor darkening and spots opposite plates, most still retain original guards, else pages clean and tight throughout. A very clean and tight copy of a very scarce and early book. 424pp + xii + cxii (contents, appendix.) Many full-page engravings and engravings within text.
