Bookplate to fornt endpaper. Inside pages clean and tight throughout. 53 photo. B&W photo plates and folding maps. 207 pp. Members of the Houston-Mount Everest Expedition flew over Everest’s summit on April 3rd., 1933. In this book the Pilots unfold their story of this great achievement as it appeared to them. ”The flight out to India is graphically depicted, and in the life led by them in India we find many of the lighter touches which bound the members of the expedition together in the most trying of all times, the time of waiting.”
