Size 7.75 x 10.25 inches. In marooon cloth covers with paper title labels to spine front. 184pp. With 16 b/w plates from drawings by Muirhead Bone. In very good condition. Spine slightly faded with small splits to edges. Title label to spine slightly darkened. Corners slightly bumped. Slight browning to endpapers. Else a clean and tight copy. The pages of this book contain some of the experiences and fancies gathered in twenty years of London life, which describe London in the first quarter of the twentieth century. This is a wonderful picture of London, and Londoners, as seen through the eyes of its author, with a history of the areas mentioned in the book.
