Size 6.0 x 8.5 inches. In dark green cloth covers. with gilt to spine and front. Decorated endpapers. 503pp. With engraved frontis plate and photo plates. In near fine condition. A very clean and tight copy. Records of orders made by the Courts in Dorset, from the reign of Charles I. Many of the cases concern the upkeep of children, especially the illegitimate, or old people by the parish, others are for illegally selling ale. A common concern was the maintenence of roads and bridges and various people are directed to make repairs.
