Else a clean and tight copy. As a young and inexperienced captain in India in WW2, the author committed an administrative blunder and was consequently ‘kicked upstairs’. Finding himself now a Major, he was given command of a company of native troops, none of whom spoke English. Having eventually moved them to the Burma Front, they all fell ill, leaving just six fit men. This is the author’s warts and all account of his War experiences.
