The story of Hardy’s friendship with Rebekah Owen. The friendship flourished with her admiration of Hardys novels, but cooled with her lack of enthusiasm for Jude. Rebekah owen’s collection of hardy books and memorabilia was purchased and sent to USA during and just afterWWII. The final chapter lists the books in the collection.
