In near fine condition with very good dustwrapper (dw; price clipped). A very clean and tight copy. The Basingstoke Canal was planned to join the Thames to both the English and the Bristol Channels. It never went beyond Basingstoke. This is the revised and updated edition of the story of its failure, decline and eventual restoration.
