Containing the History and Antiquities of the Borough of King’s Lynn; And of the Towns, Villages, Hamlets, Monasteries, Churches, Chapels, Chanties, and other Religious Buildings in that Hundred and Half, including a Circuit of about Fifteen miles round Lynn. In tan full calf leather binding with gilt to red morocco title label on spine. 322pp. With large fold out map of King’s Lynn "Ichnographia Burgi Perantqui Lennae Regis in Agro Norfolciensi accurate delineata Ano MDCCXXV" In very good condition. Spine slightly faded. Boards slightly rubbed. Slightly rubbed around edges. Owner’s bookplate to front endpaper. Old repairs, creases and tear to map. loose paper with signatures, dated 1848 and page from newspaper, dated 1892, loose in front. Owner’s neat inscription to main title page, dated 1812. Crease to main title page. Slight browning to a couple of pages from old insert. Else a clean and tight copy. Topography and history of King’s Lynn and the area around it. With Index and list of Remarkable Occurrences at back. the map shows rivers running through the town and the town walls.
