In black cloth covers with gilt to spine. 416pp. In very good condition. Spine slightly faded. Slight rubbing to edges. Corners slightly bumped. Slight browning to endpapers. Neat pencil marks around early chapters. Else a clean and tight copy. Alfred Marshall (1842-1924) was the dominant figure in British Economics from about 1890 until his death. First Edition of the first appearance of Marshall’s adaptation of the first volume of his Principles of Economics "to the needs of junior students." Covers the development of Free Trade, supply and demand, value and trade unions.

Small marks and a couple of small tears). Not price clipped. A clean and tight copy. Alfred Marshall (1842-1924) was the dominant figure in British Economics from about 1890 until his death. First edition. Five papers by the eminent Cambridge economist prepoared between 1886 and 1903 for various enquiries concerning money and banking, India, poverty, taxation, and international trade. Edited, with a preface, by Marshall's pupil John Maynard Keynes.
