Title translates as ‘The works of the painter Diego Rivera’. A Mexican communist who worked mainly in frescos, Rivera was the husband of the artist Freda Kahlo. The works reproduced here are mainly from the period 1922 to 1927, and show scenes of the lives of ordinary people, especially workers. The main text is in German and the pictures have titles in both German and Russian.
